Why I Chose This Work

I've been fascinated with psychology ever since my

first high school Psychology 101 class. I wholeheartedly

believe that good mental health fosters stability and

positive results in all areas of one's life.

The administrative and people skills required in my

position at The Luminous Mind suit me well. Having

owned and operated several businesses in the publishing

industry for three decades, followed by office manager positions

at various public schools, provided extensive logistical know-how. My involvement in the social justice movement, promoting independent media platforms, and grant writing for multiple social programs intensified my core values of inclusiveness, equality and justice.

What I Hope Clients Feel After Working With Me

I am dedicated to providing courteous, helpful service to our clients. I want them to rest assured that everyone on our team has their best interests at heart. They will be treated with kindness, dignity and respect in a welcoming environment. Often the first point of contact with new clients, I hope to reflect these values shared by all at The Luminous Mind. Feel free to reach out with questions at contact@theluminousmind.com call or text my direct line 612-276-2466.

Why I Chose This Work

I'm a people person who finds great satisfaction in assisting clients. Plus, administrative work has always been a part of my career, and it's an area in which I thrive. Both aspects are prevalent in my duties at The Luminous Mind, so when given the opportunity to join the staff, I knew it was the perfect fit.

What I Enjoy Outside of Work

I've edited/produced approximately 100 published books. Ethiopian food is my absolute favorite, although ethnic foods from many regions of the world are a close second. My friends tease me about my ring collection and the fact that I usually wear several rings on each finger.

My Favorite Quote

"Whoever sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart [in supplication or prayer] — and that is the weakest of faith."

— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, Sahih Muslim, Hadith 49
