My Decolonized/Anti-Oppressive Lens

I work to understand the values, priorities, and strengths of my clients - as well as the families and communities they may participate or choose not participate in - and honor and uplift those, rather than assuming my clients should be bound to the values and priorities of colonialism and majority cultures. As a white cisgender woman, I am open and transparent about how my identities impact my experience with privilege and the biases I may hold as a result.

What I Hope Clients Feel After Working With Me

I hope clients working with me feel heard and valid, curious and empowered.

Why I Chose This Work

I love humanity and am endlessly curious about humans. I was pulled to become a therapist because I want to be engaged in connection, healing, and helping to better lives and relationships.

What I Enjoy Outside of Work

I have a weighted stuffed sloth in my office named Stevie who is beloved by my clients. There's a family of turtles who live by me and I enjoy checking up on them.
